How to make a Website

JOIN us and #PledgeForParity #HatujafikaBado

Receive warm greetings from Tanzania Women of Achievement (TWA)! TWA humbly requests your presence, participation and support on this year's International Women's Day campaign themed Pledge For Parity, celebrated globally this year. The World Economic Forum predicted in 2014 that it would take until 2095 to achieve global gender parity! Then one year later in 2015, they estimated that a slowdown in the already glacial pace of progress meant the gender gap wouldn't close entirely until 2133. This is a very long time to just sit and wait!

TWA is joining the world in advocating for everyone - men and women - to pledge to take a concrete step in helping achieve gender parity more quickly - whether to help women and girls achieve their ambitions, call for gender-balanced leadership, respect and value difference, develop more inclusive and flexible cultures or root out workplace bias etc. etc. Each one of us can be a leader within our own spheres of influence and commit to take pragmatic action to accelerate gender parity.
The campaign will focus on 5 key issues affecting gender equality including education, health, leadership, women rights and economic empowerment, all being important aspects of society development since they are significantly linked to economic growth. As an influencer in your field, we will be honored for you to join the campaign by using your platforms and network to highlight challenges and gaps in the community that hinders gender parity progress.

This will involve creating awareness on Gender parity issues in Tanzania, engage and motivate people and organizations to join the campaign and pledge, as well as creatively share your own content in your own style promoting the campaign under hashtags #PledgeForParity #HatujafikaBado. The Gender Parity Conference will take place on the 6th of March 2016 at the Hyatt Kilimanjaro Hotel from 9am to 1pm and will be attended by gender stakeholders and influencers who will share and inspire each other, showcase and train on what has been achieved so far since The Beijing Conference 20 years ago, highlight existing gaps and challenges and how we all can play a role to accelerate the needed change. The Pledge for Parity walk will take place on the 5th of March 2016 from the €˜Goat Race Grounds, popularly known as Uwanja wa Farasi€ at 6am, to create awareness and call on everyone, men , women and institutions to pledge and take concrete steps to accelerate the achievement of gender parity.

The pledge for parity walk and conference will be honored by Minister of Health, Community Development, Gender, Seniors and Children Hon. Ummy Mwalimu and Her Excellency The Vice President of The Republic Of Tanzania Hon. Samia Suluhu respectively. It would be a great honor for us if you were to accept to partner with TWA as a #GenderParity ambassador and join us and other gender champions on this very important cause. I have attached campaign reference materials for your further reading.

Thanking you in advance for being such a champion! Join us and PLEDGE NOW: Yours Sincerely, iK Kiwia,
